I’ve been here before

Dead tones announce me

The keys hit in waves

Opening up a well of dreams

Clouds blurring numb sky

Sea, a quiet mirror

Shifting stones hold hurt

And a boat, bringing me back to this

Wordless meanings haunt

A mouth that hangs bare

Immured in glass, gone

And from here it all feels alien

Things that barely touch

A thought hardly there

Ideas, consuming

That live inside a fairy-tale

Beauty beyond touch

Mirror gaols catch all

Times and spaces, split

Distant in ways I can’t contend

Caught outside

Looking in

Blurring thoughts

The dream ends.

Afterword

Hi. Between life events and general writers block, plus starting more than I can feasibly complete in a decent time frame, I just haven't had the time to write or post. I hope to change that over the coming weeks.

Thank you for reading.

Liam.
