I was born to the endless darkness

Before the idea of you was even conceived

I stepped onto her warm beach and she greeted me with vines

With leaves and petals

You didn’t invite me to your first festival

But she cared

She grew your love for me

I grew your harvests

I grew your trees

I grew your thorns

I grew you, my son

My Cupīdō

You flourished

You loved

I worshipped your harlots

And you worshipped me

You claimed divine origin

But that belongs to my people

I will return home now

Lavinium, casa mia

Ardea, casa mia

Endless darkness, casa mia
